The trauma of having an aged parent in need of care is enormous. My sisters and I found ourselves in this place with our dad recently. His need for care was particularly urgent. And we were determined to avoid temporary respite care. We needed to find his forever home and get him settled as quickly as possible. 

Not knowing any of the options in Perth or possessing any experience to draw on we were at a complete loss and flying blind. 

Coleen Wright was truly amazing. We met with her on a Tuesday and dad moved into his new care home on the Friday.

She answered the phone straight away, was always available, joined us in visiting care options in the area we specified and handled the paperwork. She was even there to greet dad on his first day.

I cannot overstate the relief she gave us, the understanding she has and the extensive education she uses to assess the best place for a very much loved one. I really don't know where to start, but Coleen achieved the impossible! After several failed attempts at us finding the right home for my Mum, Coleen managed to do this! She listened to our problems (which are plenty), was absolutely realistic and made no promises...but she should have, honestly she made our day when we found out my Mum got into the place she wanted, when she needed. We are truly grateful for her experience and help. 

We honestly don't know what we would've done without Coleen, aged care is so complicated and she made it clear and simple for us to understand. Her compassion and empathy is exactly what we needed, Coleen was so patient with us throughout the process and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. My Mum is so happy in her new home, in fact, she's thriving and so much better than being isolated at home. She has put on weight, she's happy and smiling and now has some constant friendships.
